Venue Overview

The Holt occupies an elevated position above the Otter Valley on the outskirts of the picturesque town of Budleigh Salterton. With 180 degree panoramic views of the Otter Estuary and out to sea, the stunning glass fronted building brings the outside in. A wrap-around balcony and terrace not only increases capacity for outside events, but gives guests that extras special experience high above the wildlife laden estuary.

Our venue is a flexible space that can be adapted to accommodate for formal and informal events.

  • Banqueting Style - Formal dining setting it can host up to 80 seated guests

  • Airline Style - Can accommodate up to 100 guests

  • Non-seated -  200 Capacity

Inside Space

A long rectangular conference space with  a stylish, and fully stocked bar. At one end there is a large screen, which can be used for conferencing and presentations, or covered over when not required. The space lends itself to hosting small weddings, parties, or business meetings - and can be configured to suit our guests needs. 

The stunning upstairs space can be accessed via lift from the downstairs entrance hall making it fully accessible to those with mobility issues.

Catering

The Holt is equipped with a commercial kitchen. There are a number of options that can be catered for to suit your needs including:

  • Formal Dining

  • Buffett style

  • Banquettes

  • Canapes

  • Wedding menus

  • Hog Roasts

Our in-house caterer will be available to work with guests to ensure their requirements can be met.

Audio-Visual

The Holt has the capability to provide Audio-Visual services for small conferences, business meetings and presentations. A large screen is available along with microphone capabilities.
